Hoa Lu with King Dinh and Le Temples

The temples of King Dinh and King Le were built at the site of the ancient capital. These two temples are located 500 meters apart, which is why the area is often referred to as the “King Dinh – Le Temple” in the “Hoa Lu Ancient Capital”.
The King Dinh Temple follows traditional architectural styles. Located on the former site of the royal citadel's main palace, it features a majestic main gate, a lotus pond, a flower garden, three courthouses, an incense-burning house, and a harem.
Inside the King Dinh Temple, there is a Long Sang (a berth for the King), carved from a monolith with intricate details. Next is the Thieu Huong House, which is dedicated to national heroes.
The last section is the harem, housing statues of King Dinh Tien Hoang and his son, Dinh Lien. The temple's decorations include sophisticated stone and wood carvings depicting dragons, clouds, fairies, leaves, and flowers.
There are still many ancient architectural vestiges with elaborate sculptures in this area. The ruins of the old palace and some ancient ceramics have been discovered here. These precious objects are preserved in the museum to the left of the temple.
In addition to the King Dinh and King Le temples, there are several notable pagodas nearby. These include Ngan Xuyen Pagoda, located near Ma Yen Mountain, and Nhat Tru Pagoda, just 200 meters from the King Le Temple.
These sites attract many tourists who come to offer incense and enjoy the scenic beauty.
